National Latina Leaders to Address Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, 'Women in Action,' Conference in Detroit, October 18th

    What: Linda Alvarado, president, Alvarado Construction and owner of the
           Colorado Rockies baseball team; and Carmen Munoz, chairwoman, GSC
           Industries/Munoz Machine Products, are among the featured guest
           speakers at the 2nd Annual "Women In Action -- Hacia Los Suenos
           Vamos (Dreams Within Our Reach)" Conference.
           Over 500 participants are expected to attend the one-day conference
           with panel discussions and workshops centered on challenges and
           strategies for professional growth.
           The recipient of the "Dreams Within Our Reach" Award, which
           celebrates the achievement of Hispanic professional women, will be

           Professional Engineers (SHPE) - Detroit Professional Chapter, is a
           nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the participation of
           Hispanic professionals and college students in the fields of
           engineering and science.
