EDISON, N.J., Dec. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CKO Kickboxing, one of the fastest growing health fitness franchises, celebrated the opening of its newest cardio kickboxing gym at 518 Old Post Road in Edison, N.J. located directly off of Route 1 South, a 5-minute drive from Menlo Park Mall and 10-minute drive from the Woodbridge Center Mall. The high quality, cross training gym provides a family friendly setting to Middlesex County residents who are looking for an alternative to Pilates, yoga, martial arts and spinning classes.
"We truly believe in the CKO Kickboxing workout as each of the three partners began as members, progressing to instructors, and now owners. We're excited to offer cardio boxing classes in Edison," said Mike Napolitano, Franchisee of CKO Kickboxing Edison.
"We are currently running a pre-sale special up to the Grand Opening. We will have our Grand Opening party with music, food, free classes and much more," he said.
The 3,500 square foot facility features 65 heavy bags and a 300-square-foot personal training area.
All three co-owners were members of CKO Kickboxing as well as trainers before deciding to open the gym in Edison.
"Since I joined CKO, it has become my passion. What better way to spend my days and nights than helping people feel great about themselves, helping them to become more fit and healthy in their daily lives? I am looking to change other lives like CKO has changed mine," Napolitano said.
Working with people who are looking for proven ways to lose weight, is one of the pleasures of owning CKO Kickboxing franchise.
"I enjoy the satisfaction of watching people change their lives. CKO not only awakens your health consciousness but adds so many positive elements to an individual's life outside the gym," said Charles Osinowo, co-owner, who took his first kickboxing class in 2009 when he needed a cardio intensive workout to get back into shape after a series of injuries.
CKO Kickboxing is effective for men and women, old and young.
"The workout can be effective whether you are a beginner or advanced. After the hour goes by you walk out of the gym confident and exhilarated, not dragging," said co-owner Roy LaBue. "I have made a lot of good friends from my time at CKO and I see it happen with a lot of the people that become members. The chance to get to know our members and watch them progress towards their goals is my favorite part."
CKO Kickboxing will post its kickboxing classes online.
"CKO Kickboxing is a true nationwide sports fitness franchise with gyms from coast to coast," said Joe Andreula, Founder of CKO Kickboxing, one of America's fastest growing franchises according to industry standard Entrepreneur Magazine, which included the kickboxing gym franchise in its Franchise 500 list of best franchises. The magazine also rated CKO Kickboxing as the 48th top new franchise in 2011.
CKO Kickboxing continues to grow because new franchise owners receive ongoing training on how to run a business and the coaching on the latest trends in health and fitness.
"We treat our franchisee owners like they are family, because they are," Andreula said. "They aren't numbers or faceless profit centers. They are people who we want to help succeed. That's why so many people, including former military members, want to take advantage of our fitness franchise opportunity."
"Fitness kickboxing is a fast-growing health trend. People who have tried to lose weight with yoga, Pilates and spin classes are now getting in shape by joining kickboxing gyms," he said. "Kickboxing is the perfect way to cross train," he said.
