MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael Campbell recently joined the White Lodging team as General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington, Indiana.  A Bloomington resident, Campbell most recently was the General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Indianapolis.

A graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts and Ohio University with a Master of Arts, Campbell's first position in the industry was as the front desk manager for a property near the campus of Ohio University.  From there, he moved to Bloomington, Indiana to assume first the Assistant General Manager and next the General Manager duties at the Ramada Inn and Howard Johnson Express and then became the General Manager at the Hampton Inn at Indiana University.

During his time in the industry, Campbell has amassed a number of multi-year awards and recognitions including Hotel of the Year, Inner Circle Award, Most Sale-Oriented GM and Budget Beater Award.
