New mobile game for iPhone to parody the infamous vacation road trip of presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his dog, Seamus.
The Crate Escape: Seamus Unleashed, is one of the first entries into a powerful new genre of mobile games-as-social commentary - games designed to use humor, satire and fun gameplay to engage players and affect social change.
DALLAS, July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Censault™, a digital publisher of connected games and applications for mobile devices announced today the planned release of its debut game, The Crate Escape: Seamus Unleashed. The cartoon game, designed to be addictively fun, allows Seamus, Romney's now-famous dog, to shatter his crate and get revenge as he skillfully avoids obstacles, captures prizes and picks up points, all while Mitt Romney drives cars, planes, submarines and more through cities, deserts and even under water. Players can use points or purchases to unlock other famous and beloved pets that will help Seamus defeat challenges along the way.

Offered on iOS devices initially, The Crate Escape also plans to include in-game purchases that give players the ability to buy selected game characters and features, with a part of the proceeds going to help raise funds for important causes ranging from breast cancer to Veterans causes.
"We believe this game is the first offering in an exciting new genre of parody games that are designed to be fun enough to engage a wide variety of casual gamers, while also sharing positive social messages," said Jim Chase , Chief Product Officer at Censault. "It also offers non-profits and socially-conscious brands an exciting new way to engage their customers and supporters through mobile games."
Censault collaborated with DogsagainstRomney.com, founded by Scott Crider , to promote and market the game. "We have over 65,000 passionate supporters whom I know will love this game," Crider said.
The Crate Escape is scheduled to launch for the iPhone and iPad on "National Dog Day," August 26 – one day before the Republican National Convention. An Android version of the game is planned for release later in the year.
"We have ambitious plans for 2013 and beyond," said Andy Berryman , Chief Marketing Officer at Censault. "We have a variety of games and applications in the pipeline."
