ATLANTA, Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In the midst of music educator conference season, there is one company that is creating quite a buzz. Note Knacks Music, LLC is making its way out of Atlanta, its city of origin, and into states like North Carolina, Texas and Massachusetts.

The two-and-a-half-year-old company was created by music educator Kristin M. Pugliese. After discovering that the old methods of music education didn't afford her students the opportunity to truly understand the fundamentals of the music language, Ms. Pugliese decided to fix what she saw as a big problem. This led to her creating Note Knacks. Note Knacks are music block manipulatives that children can hold and use to create their own compositions. For the first time, children as young as 3 can craft a manuscript that can be revisited again and again.

Teachers are excited that Note Knacks can be used in a variety of settings, such as a large group, small groups or one on one. This alleviates the constant need to be in the front of the classroom, as to allow for observations. This also gives children an opportunity for them to work together and discuss music in an organic way.
