New Poll Shows Presidential Race Is Putting Americans to Sleep
Sealy Snooze Report -- The Sleep News You Can Use!
Despite Sleep-Inducing Candidates, Voters Encouraged to Cast Their Votes With
a Good Night's Sleep Before Election Day
ARCHDALE, N.C., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The first edition of the Sealy Snooze Report asks, "What Presidential candidate puts you to sleep?" The results are in and the mattress majority cannot pick just one candidate to lead them as 38% of those surveyed say ALL the candidates put them to sleep, proving once again, a politician and a Sealy Posturepedic are all one needs to get a good night's rest! (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20041012/NETU024LOGO ) Should Senator John Kerry win the election, results suggest the American public may want to drink a strong cup of coffee before watching the Presidential inauguration as 25% of those surveyed voted Kerry the most sleep- inducing candidate. Sealy does not endorse any Presidential candidate and it's not here to judge but rather to report the "Snooze News". That stated, only one winner can be declared in this race and it's the insomniac's "dream ticket", the bipartisan Kerry-Cheney team! Percentage of Americans put to sleep by the candidates ... John Kerry 25% Dick Cheney 9% George W. Bush 14% John Edwards 3% Golden Slumbers. There was also a great divide found among household incomes above $75,000 where 29% were falling asleep to Kerry and only 12% were sleeping because of Bush. Wise guys. Perhaps all the time listening to class lectures has prepared college grads for presidential campaigns, as 44% of those without a college degree couldn't decide which candidate put them to sleep and said "they all do!" Among those with a college or post-graduate degree, only 34% answered the same. Pillow talk. Stop the presses! Men and women agree! They answered just about the same for every candidate, except one ... Kerry. 28% of men said they fall asleep to Kerry's sweet lullabies of tax reforms, healthcare revisions and foreign policy whereas only 23% of women said the same. Could it be his boyish good looks are keeping the ladies awake at night?
