New Portable Electric Glycol Heater Protects Equipment from Freezing FreezeSentry™ EG300 glycol heater offers compact, adjustable electric heating solution
BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Rain for Rent, a leading provider of temporary liquid handling solutions, now offers the new FreezeSentry™ EG300 portable electric glycol heater.
The EG300 was designed to protect critical equipment from freezing temperatures. It features an innovative and compact closed-loop heating system that uses glycol, a non-flammable heat transfer fluid. The EG300 was built to ensure safe, quiet and emission-free flameless heating on the job.
"We saw a big increase in demand for the EG300 in the oil and gas industry last year," said Bruce Wyant, Vice President Specialty Rental Products, Rain for Rent. "The EG300 stands out because it's electric, so it can use a temporary power source anywhere on a jobsite, and it's also a clean, emission-free heat source, unlike propane or diesel powered units."
Powered by 5.5 KW at 230 VAC, the EG300 is an efficient heat source for rigs, tanks, wellheads, pumps, pipelines or anything that needs to be protected from freezing temperatures. With a 24" x 48" footprint and a secure, lockable enclosure, the EG300 is a highly portable and easily deployable heating unit.
An intuitive, adjustable thermostat offers complete control of the unit. Powered by any temporary source – such as a light tower – heated glycol is delivered through the 300 feet of included flexible hose. The EG300 heats without flames and includes safety backup and shutdown controls in the event of a fluid or heating fluid pump failure – and once installed, it will run continuously.
