The report arrives at a time of growth in the use of PE pipe grade in water supply and irrigation, and delivery of oil and gas.

The report covers two industry-grade high density polyethylene (HDPE)-based pipe resins: natural (PE80) for non-pressurised applications and black compounded (PE100) for pressurised applications. Price hikes in alternative materials such as metals have led to a sharp increase in demand for PE pipe grade resins. This is most notably due to the enhanced properties and inexpensive installation costs of PE pipes.
