ATLANTA, Aug. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A new line of basic emulsifiers from Georgia-Pacific Chemicals provides an economic alternative to high performance emulsifiers for the oilfield industry.
"In today's demanding oilfield marketplace, we recognize the need to control costs," says Erik Speer, oilfield business manager for Georgia-Pacific Chemicals. "In some drilling conditions, high performance emulsifiers are an over-engineered product for the application."
The new line of XPLOR products can meet basic performance requirements for drilling mud without sacrificing Georgia-Pacific Chemicals' quality standards. They can be used with mineral-oil and diesel-based solvents and can be effective at converting or treating drilling fluid.
Georgia-Pacific Chemicals also manufactures a complete line of primary and secondary high-performance emulsifiers including XPLOR dry emulsifiers. Other products include fluid loss additives and proppant resins.
