PARSIPPANY, NJ, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ - CyberShift, Inc., world-leading provider of Workplace Management Solutions, today announced that it has signed a contract with the New York City Board of Education (NYCBOE) to provide a fully integrated time and attendance solution. New Jersey-based CyberShift is a premier provider of workplace management technology and services, offering state-of-the-art, integrated solutions that automate the centralized collection and communication of data about all aspects of employee time and attendance. CyberShift will host the solution as an ASP, linked to the Board's legacy HR and Payroll systems. Under the terms of the contract, the system will initially manage the time and attendance data of 500 employees in the Division of Financial Operations and is scheduled to go live in December 2001. Ultimately, the scope of the project will be expanded to incorporate all of the Board's divisions, covering 160,000 employees and 2,100 buildings. The total value of the project is expected to be US$15-20 million. The Board selected CyberShift over ten major competitors after a thorough and rigorous vendor selection process that spanned six months. NYCBOE's Director of Business Systems Development, David Wolovick, said, "CyberShift demonstrated its ability to handle all the requirements specified in our RFP, including the automation of the application of all our civil service and union rules. Its web-based CyberShift(R) Server architecture allows customers to upgrade to new releases without the costly retrofitting required by almost every other package product in the marketplace." The School Board estimates that it will save approximately US$10 million per year by implementing the CyberShift solution through increased efficiency and accuracy. "The selection of CyberShift to provide the NYCBOE's workplace management solution reaffirms our leadership position in this competitive industry," said CyberShift CEO Marius Swart. He added, "In light of the current economic climate in the United States, the Board's decision to implement this cost- saving strategy is a timely and significant step forward for this organization.
