New York Company Launches Innovative Gaming Social Network Called BetBomb.com

ALBANY, N.Y., June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Five1Eight Internet Media, LLC, an Albany, New York based technology company, has launched one of the country's first gaming social networks.  Named BetBomb (www.betbomb.com), the site offers free, non-gambling tournaments in which users can compete by picking sporting outcomes and can win prizes.

Users can compete on the basis of baseball, basketball, football, and hockey results. Site users can also issue direct challenges to compete against other players on the site and create profiles and interact through various social networking features.  For fees, the site offers various premium features, including detailed information about specific sporting events.

BetBomb.com plans to increase its offering of prizes and tournaments steadily.  The site is not available to users in all states, however, due to the laws in different jurisdictions.  The company said it takes a cautious approach and that remaining compliant with all applicable laws and regulations is its highest priority.  The company also said that while the site is not a gambling site, it is examining different policies for monitoring players' activity in an effort to discourage excessive use.
