New York Sports Clubs, Boston Sports Clubs, Washington Sports Clubs And Philadelphia Sports Clubs to Offer Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights Workout

NEW YORK, Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Looking for a way to heat up those cold
winter nights? New York Sports Clubs, Boston Sports Clubs, Washington Sports
Clubs and Philadelphia Sports Clubs have the answer for you. The largest
network of health and fitness clubs in the northeastern United States will be
offering the Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights workout beginning on Monday, March
 1. The launch of this new class coincides with the release of the movie Dirty
Dancing: Havana Nights, which is being released nationwide today by Lions Gate
Films, the motion picture acquisition, production and distribution arm of
 Lions Gate Entertainment.
This class combines the slinky and spectacular moves of Cuban dances for a
sweaty and sexy cardiovascular workout. Traditional Latin dances like salsa,
mambo and tango are combined with ballroom-inspired moves in the distinctly
Cuban dance format. Participants don't need a partner for this workout, but
they may not find themselves alone for long after giving this class a few
 whirls.
The class will be conducted to the sizzling soundtrack to the feature
film. With songs ranging from up-tempo dance numbers to sultry love songs, the
soundtrack for Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights is a hip, multidimensional
collection in the vein of the original film's multi-platinum soundtrack. Songs
and artists include Yerba Buena's "Guajira (I Love U 2 Much)," Black Eyed
Peas "Dirty Dancing," Santana (featuring Latin Grammy-winner Jorge Moreno)
with "Satellite," and Orishas (featuring Tony-winner, Grammy-nominated Heather
Headley) singing "Represent, Cuba," as well as songs from Christina Aguilera
 and Wyclef Jean.
JoAnn Jansen, the movie's producer/choreographer, and upon whose real life
experiences as an American teenager in Club the movie is based, acted as a
 consultant on the class.
The Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights workout will be offered throughout the
month of March at select New York Sports Clubs, Boston Sports Clubs,
Washington Sports Clubs and Philadelphia Sports Clubs locations.
Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights tells a timeless story of a young woman's
discovery of love, sensuality and independence. The movie stars acclaimed
actor Diego Luna (Y Tu Mama Tambien), and, in what promises to be a breakout
role, gifted young actress Romola Garai, who won raves for her performance in
the independent hit I Capture the Castle. The resulting film promises to give
audiences -- from newcomers to those who cherish the first Dirty Dancing(R) --
the time of their lives, and then some.

Lions Gate Entertainment is the leading diversified independent producer
and distributor of motion pictures, television programming, home
entertainment, family entertainment and video-on-demand content, and its
prestigious and prolific library of 8000+ titles is the largest in the indie
world. The Lions Gate brand name is synonymous with original, daring, quality
entertainment in markets around the globe.
