Intel Speaks To Digital Energy Solutions As Model For Other Industries

According to Wigle, the organization is on track to meet their goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 52 million tons by 2010.

"Computers and communications equipment account for about two percent of global CO2 (emissions)," Wigle comments. "But, we have an opportunity to have a huge impact on the other 98 percent." This focus on working to reduce CO2 emissions in other industries through smart grids and smarter modeling tools is part of Intel's Digital Energy Solutions campaign.
