Nissan Rogue Gets Complete Redesign for 2014 Model
The compact crossover will feature a variety of storage options and a 33 mpg highway rating
MANHATTAN, Kan., Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- 2014 Nissan models are seeing some big changes. The 2014 Pathfinder saw a complete redesign, and now the manufacturer has continued their redesign kick with the 2014 Nissan Rogue. On top of a complete style change, the compact crossover will offer a best-in-class highway fuel economy of 33 MPG, a jump of 5 MPG from last year's model.
Crossover utility vehicles place an emphasis on fuel economy and storage, and the Rogue is no exception. An available third row seat provides seating for two when upright, or 39.3 cubic feet of storage when collapsed. The seatback of the second row utilizes a 40/20/40 split, which allows for a variety of storage and seating options. When the second row is completely collapsed, the Rogue is capable of providing a vast 70 cubic feet of storage. A new addition to the Rogue is a divide-n-hide cargo system is which utilizes a shelf to break up the trunk and provide 18 different storage options.
In addition to the storage, consumers are likely to appreciate the touch of luxury that Nissan has put in the 2014 Rogue. That includes an available class-exclusive 360° around-view monitor which combines the feed of four wide-angle cameras to provide a digital overhead view of the Rogue. The cameras also assist in the safety systems of the compact crossover which include forward collision, blind spot and lane departure warnings. Standard on all models is a rearview monitor to assist with parking. Further adding to the safety features is active trace control, engine braking and ride control which all automatically and strategically apply braking pressure to keep the Rogue under control in certain situations.
Consumers are likely to enjoy the 2014 Nissan Rogue because it maximizes the fuel economy and storage that buyers in the segment are looking for, but it also adds superior safety and luxury features to the mix. Nissan has announced that the Rogue will become available this fall.
