Noble Environmental Technologies Announces Location for ECOR® Eco-Composite Production Facility in Downtown San Diego, California
SAN DIEGO, Jan. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Noble Environmental Technologies Corporation (NET), developer and manufacturer of ECOR®, Advanced Environmental Composite 100% bio-based, natural cellulosic structural material technologies, announces the location for its state-of-the-art HRDP (Hybrid Research and Development and Production) facility at 1660 B Logan Avenue, San Diego, California. NET recently occupied this location and is currently meeting with a host of local community, government, business leaders and organizations, and other key local representatives, to discuss alliances and explore various business development opportunities.
Sustainable design architect Robert Noble, AIA LEED AP, NET Founder & CEO explains: "ECOR® is an environmentally superior material which enables architects and industrial designers to realize their formal and functional visions. We are thrilled to be building a state-of-the-art ECOR® production facility which will feature advanced material testing, product prototyping, administration and sales offices, and an elaborate showroom.
Noble continues, "As a top priority, we sought an urban location offering New Market Tax Credits & within an Economic Enterprise Zone--downtown San Diego was the best fit. This "urban-core" location provides close proximity to the Port of San Diego, naval facilities, government, civic and other commercial operations which can be both customers and also provide recycled cardboard and paper raw materials."
According to NET President and COO, Jim Torti, Ph.D., "We chose a site which has excellent access to virtually unlimited local and regional raw material resource opportunities, including corrugated cardboard, newsprint, office waste paper, among other renewable and recyclable fiber materials."
Torti adds, "We are establishing a complete, sustainable eco-superior material life cycle model which can be recreated in all future ECOR® manufacturing centers worldwide. Each facility will provide many "green collar" jobs producing an innovative product line which is 100% Made in the USA."
