Northwest Airlines to Expand Korean Air Code-Share
Enhanced partnership will provide customers with more travel options
between Asia and the United States
MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northwest Airlines (OTC:
NWACQ) today announced it will expand its code-share relationship with
Korean Air, benefiting customers traveling on seven international routes
operated by Korean Air and six U.S. domestic routes operated by Northwest.

The new code-share flights will expand the global networks of both
carriers by opening up hundreds of new travel options for customers. Routes
operated by Korean Air that will also be marked with the two-letter "NW"
Northwest code are between Seoul, South Korea and Seattle, Chicago, Tokyo
and Osaka, Japan; along with Korean Air's flight between Tokyo and Los
Angeles. Northwest will also code-share on Korean Air-operated flights
between Busan, South Korea and Tokyo, and Busan and Osaka.
Routes operated by Northwest that will also include the Korean Air two
letter "KE" code are between Chicago and Detroit, Memphis, Tenn. and
Minneapolis/St.Paul; along with the flight between Los Angeles and Las
Vegas. Korean Air's code will also appear on Northwest-operated flights
between Seattle and Detroit, and Seattle and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
The new routes will augment the initial Northwest and Korean Air code-
share, started in July 2005 between Los Angeles and Northwest's hub in
Memphis.

Code-sharing allows Northwest to offer its customers the expanded reach
of two airlines while enjoying the convenience of flying on one airline.
Members of Northwest's WorldPerks and Korean Air's Skypass frequent
flyer programs will continue to receive accrual and redemption benefits on
flights operated by both airlines.
Northwest's new code-share flights are effective December 9, 2006. The
flights are available immediately for sale through http://www.nwa.com ,
Northwest Airlines Reservations at 1-800-447-4747 or through travel
agencies.
