NTP Comments on Court Hearing

    WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- NTP Incorporated issued the following
 statement regarding this morning's hearing in the U.S. District Court on its
 litigation with Research in Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq:   RIMM, TSX: RIM):
     We are grateful to the Court for its time and look forward to a final
 outcome.  We presented a very strong case and believe, based on the closing
 remarks of Judge Spencer, that the Court was receptive to the merits of our

 settle this issue with RIM, including trying to meet with them this week.
 Contrary to RIM's public stance, we always have and continue to offer RIM a
 license that fully protects everyone -- its customers, carriers, and partners.
