POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., July 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Although you may not find Greenville, Missouri, on a map, in this town of only 400 people, you will find a family who has beat this bad economy. The Stahlman family is doing everything they can do to help others turn their businesses around.

Five years ago, the Stahlmans found themselves struggling to get by. As with many American families, they were now barely making ends meet. Having done well in construction sales during previous years, sales were dropping and the competition was fiercer than ever. "We knew we needed to do something to get ahead of the competition; we just were not sure how to do it." Then Mr. Stahlman remembered how years ago his wife had talked him into building a giant spinning wheel for their church's children's ministry. "That prize wheel did one thing really well -- it got a lot of attention."

In 2008, the family built their first commercial prize wheel. "It looked like a million dollars, but it wouldn't spin at all." Despite the minor setback of the wheel not spinning, the family took photos and listed the wheel on Ebay. Within days, they had sold seven prize wheels!  "I knew that I could make it spin; I just wasn't sure that anyone would buy it." The Stahlmans found out that they were not the only business wanting to distinguish themselves from the competition.  Over the last several years their website, www.prizewheeladvantage.com has sold nearly 10,000 prize wheels. "It still amazes me that a $200.00 investment can give such an edge when it comes to sales."

When asked how customers are using the prize wheels, Mr. Stahlman replied, "For everything!  Retailers use them to increase sales; insurance agents gather leads; teachers and non-profit organizations gain attention; restaurants and other businesses just entertain. I can't think of one industry that would not profit from incorporating a prize wheel."

If you are not yet impressed with this family-operated business; then try this -- their customer list is comprised of some of the biggest names in the corporate world, ranging from huge restaurant chains, such as McDonalds, to the ritzy Mercedes Benz .  In spite of the fact that the family builds completely custom prize wheels for Fortune 500 companies, Mr. Stahlman still maintains, "The most important customers are small businesses just like ours.  Our goal is to help small companies survive in a bad economy."

Matt and Cathy Stahlman  produce high quality prize wheels for marketing and promotional use.
