Oracle Gets Top Marks in Linux Database Survey

 Religion:  Linux and Open Source," Zona Research, Inc. determined that
 Oracle8i(TM) is and will continue to be the Linux database of choice for
 e-business.  A survey of 109 IT professionals with purchasing authority found
 that Oracle8i tops the field in Linux database deployments and is expected to
 increase its lead over nearest-rival IBM.  Citing criteria such as
 reliability, speed and scalability as the most important factors prompting a
 move to Linux from the Windows, IBM AIX and UNIX variant platforms, the report
 also revealed that both enterprises and small businesses expect extensive
 increases in their use of the Linux operating system.
