"Orphans Over Orchids" Global Crowdfunding Challenge Launched For Mother's Day Week

AUSTIN, Texas and NEW YORK, May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mothers love bouquets, but ambitious social entrepreneur CAROLINE BOUDREAUX of The Miracle Foundation (www.MiracleFoundation.org), is teaming up with top crowdfunding site INDIEGOGO.COM  and UNICEF Ambassador TEA LEONI to celebrate great moms a different way: by bringing joy to kids who don't have one.

The "Orphans Over Orchids" Global Challenge aims to raise $100,000 by Mother's Day (May 12th) to quickly and successfully transform an entire struggling orphanage. This will vastly improve lifelong outcomes for 100 boys and girls with trackable results like clean water, better food, good healthcare, smart life skills training, tutoring, a cozier environment--  and hugs from loving and well-trained housemothers.

"We are proving that it's possible to conquer corruption and make sure orphans everywhere can do more than survive-- they can totally thrive and contribute to their communities as adults," says Boudreaux, who founded The Miracle Foundation in entrepreneurial Austin, after a chance encounter with an abandoned toddler in rural India--on Mother's Day 2000-- while on a carefree vacation overseas.

Boudreaux thinks people are looking for new ways to honor mothers and make a positive impact on the next generation.  In fact, she is prepared to uplift a second new orphanage if they exceed their goal.
