TOLEDO, Ohio, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Owens-Illinois, Inc., (NYSE: OI) announced today as part of a new, expanded contract with Anheuser- Busch, Inc., covering the supply of glass containers in North America, it will build a new glass container manufacturing plant to be the primary supplier to the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado. This high-productivity plant will be located in Northeast Colorado or Southeast Wyoming at a site to be determined. The plant is expected to start production in early 2005, and will manufacture 12-ounce bottles. Upon reaching full capacity, the plant will be among the highest output glass container plants in the United States, producing over one billion bottles annually. The new plant will incorporate the latest in O-I glass technology and will utilize O-I patented and proprietary machines, equipment, designs and know-how. Joseph H.
