Park Water Company appoints Chris Alario, PhD as SVP of Corporate Development

DOWNEY, Calif., Sept. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Park Water Company (Park) recently announced the appointment of Chris Alario, Ph.D. as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development to lead its corporate business development program. In this role, Dr. Alario will help Park develop successful public-private partnerships in North America.  

With over 20 years of experience in municipal and commercial water utility and infrastructure sectors, Dr. Alario is a highly seasoned water industry executive. He remains a strong proponent of public-private partnerships and innovative approaches to developing and financing water infrastructure.

Prior to joining Park, Dr. Alario served as Vice President for AECOM Technical Services, Inc. and managed the firm's water engineering consulting business in Southern California, improving business performance and profitability. Dr. Alario served as a Vice President of Business Development for American Water Works Company where he successfully developed public-private partnerships for the organization's regulated and non-regulated divisions in California, Hawaii, and New Mexico. He worked for Dominguez Water Corporation managing revenue, rates, and development of public-private partnerships beneficial to smaller communities in Central and Northern California. He also served as a staff analyst for the City of Anaheim.

Dr. Alario received a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, San Diego, a Master of Arts in Political Theory, and Ph.D. in International Political Economy. Dr. Alario is a graduate fellow at Catholic University of America. He served as a research analyst for the Institute for the Study of Economic Culture at Boston University, as a contributor to a multi-year study of market-oriented economic reforms in Chile, China and India.
