Partnership Delivers Hifn Security Processors to Lineo's Linux-Based Internet Appliances

    LOS GATOS, Calif., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Network security and flow
 classification specialist Hifn(TM) (Nasdaq:   HIFN), announced today a
 partnership agreement with Lineo(TM), Inc.  As part of the agreement, Hifn
 security processors will accelerate the security functions in the
 SecureEdge(TM) VPN Router Platform -- Internet access products such as routers
 and Thin Servers, designed and manufactured by Lineo for OEMs and systems

     Lineo's SecureEdge VPN (Virtual Private Network) routers are available as
 finished, manufactured products for rebranding or as reference designs that
 incorporate the latest and most sought-after features of routers, secure

 embedded Linux operating system uClinux, as well as Hifn processors such as
 the 7902 or 7951, integrated products that perform compression, encryption,
 authentication, public key and random number generation.
