JACKSONVILLE, N.C., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Where The Difference Begins Inc announces the upcoming launch of its website (http://www.wherethedifferencebegins.com) on 1 January, 2010. WTDB is a diverse community devoted to Honor, Inspire and Empower Past, Present and Future Women Marines.

"Since 1918, women have answered their country's call to serve. Although, women account for only 6.4% of the total active duty end strength in the Marine Corps, they play an integral role in the defense of our country. We must continue to highlight their achievements and provide a platform from which to tell their story," said Tammie Martin, chairman, Where The Difference Begins.

According to the Department of Defense, there are 12,951 active duty women currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. Each year, approximately 2,400 women accept the challenge and eagerly take their place on the yellow footprints at Parris Island, SC.
