WASHINGTON, July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorneys Barry J. Nace and Christopher T. Nace of Paulson & Nace, PLLC were recently honored at the American Association for Justice Annual Convention in Vancouver, B.C.

Both attorneys received the American Association for Justice Distinguished Service Award for their dedication to the Association this past year.  The father-son team each received an award at the annual Leadership Awards breakfast on July 11, 2010.  Barry Nace, a former president of the Association (formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America) has been a leader in the organization for nearly 30 years.  Christopher Nace and brothers, Jonathan and Matthew, and colleague Caitlin S. Palacios, are continuing Barry Nace's legacy as prominent trial lawyers in the greater Washington area.

The same week, Christopher Nace was elected Treasurer of the AAJ New Lawyers Division.  The New Lawyers Division represents members of the Association who have been in practice less than ten years.  There are approximately 4000 members of the NLD nationwide.

Christopher Nace also received an NLD Excellence Award for his service to the NLD over the past year as Fundraising co-chair of the division.

Finally, Christopher Nace was elected to the board of the Public Justice Foundation.  Public Justice is America's Public Interest law firm, litigating cases involving access to the courts, consumer rights, civil liberties, environmental protection, and other matters of public interest.  Mr. Nace recently completed a one-year term on the board and has now been elected to serve a three-year term.
