Pelosi Statement on New Acting Chairman of House Ways and Means Committee
WASHINGTON, March 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement this morning on Sander Levin of Michigan becoming new acting Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee:
"Congressman Pete Stark has informed me that, due to his desire to remain as subcommittee Chairman of the Health Subcommittee, he has resigned as acting Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.
