Pennsylvania Gov. Schweiker Names Kim Ward Director of Pittsburgh Office

    HARRISBURG, Pa., April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Gov. Mark Schweiker
 today announced Kim Ward has been appointed Director of the Governor's
 Pittsburgh Office. She replaces Mariann Geyer, who accepted a position as
 Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.
     "Kim brings an excellent blend of public service and professional
 experience to the job," Gov. Schweiker said.  "That kind of background is
 essential when running a regional office that works daily with a host of
 constituencies, including local business and community leaders. People in

 Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Wilkes-Barre and Erie, serve as important

     Ward resides in Westmoreland County, where she is a Hempfield Township
 supervisor.  Since 2000, she has been the proprietor of Commonwealth Political
 Associates, which specializes in consulting and government outreach.
     Ward resides with her husband, Dr. Thomas Ward.  They have three children,
 Tom, Michael and Matthew.
