HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Corbett has ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities statewide to fly at half-staff on Saturday, Dec. 7, in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
The Dec. 7, 1941, surprise attack on Pearl Harbor killed 2,403 Americans and led the United States to enter World War II.
Under a separate order issued by Gov. Corbett, both U.S. and Pennsylvania flags at state facilities across the commonwealth shall remain at half-staff until sunset on Monday, Dec. 9, out of respect to Nelson Mandela.
All Pennsylvanians are invited to join in these tributes.
