Pennsylvania Governor Rendell Comments on Montgomery County Orphans' Court Decision on Barnes Foundation

    HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today
 issued the following statement regarding Montgomery County Orphans' Court
 Judge Stanley Ott's decision to allow the Barnes Foundation to move its art
 collection from Merion to a new museum on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in
     "I applaud Judge Ott's decision to allow this priceless art collection to
 be moved from its current home to downtown Philadelphia.  The relocation will
 make it accessible to the thousands of people who visit downtown Philadelphia
 each day, and increase exposure to the amazing collection, which along with
 its educational value, was the intention of Dr. Barnes.
