CLEVELAND, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- NineSigma, Inc. announced today that
David Pessel, an executive with more than 20 years of experience in the field
of information technology, has been named Senior Vice President and Chief
Information Officer, effective immediately. Pessel will work to expand
NineSigma's systems and software, including Managed Exchange, an Internet-
based service that matches buyers and suppliers of science and technology,
based on a custom solicitation. Pessel will also oversee strategic client
Most recently Pessel was Vice President and Chief Information Officer at
Invacare Corporation. Previously he was Director, Strategic Technology and
Applications for FedEx Corporation, and Director, Information Technology at
BP. Pessel, who was on the faculty of the University of Rochester and the
University of California (UC)-Berkeley, holds a master's and doctorate degree
in electrical engineering and computer sciences from UC-Berkeley. He also has
a bachelor's degree in system engineering from Polytechnic University.
