PETCO Hosts National Pet Adoption Weekend Sponsored by HALO, Purely for Pets

WHAT:

All PETCO stores will host National Pet Adoption events the weekend of April 17 and 18 to provide pet lovers across the country the chance to meet many adoptable pets, learn about area animal shelters, inquire about the best ways to care for a new pet, and find out about PETCO's Think Adoption First program.

The April National Pet Adoption Weekend is sponsored by HALO, Purely for Pets.  Customers who adopt a pet during April 17-18 receive a special offer from HALO for $5 off HALO Spots Stew Dog, Puppy or Cat Food (while supplies last). Plus, everyone who adopts can join PETCO's Think Adoption First program to receive special savings (50% off cat or dog food and 10% off entire first purchase) and personalized monthly pet care tips.

In addition, as part of PETCO's partnership with Zyrtec, the company who offers over the counter allergy relief medication, will offer a bandana as a gift for customers who adopt during the National Adoption Weekend (while supplies last).

All stores will hold free "Bringing Home your Adopted Dog" training sessions during the National Pet Adoption Weekend.
