PGP Corporation Appoints Nick Riley as Regional Manager of Asia Pacific
SYDNEY, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- PGP Corporation, a global leader in enterprise data protection, today announced the appointment of Mr. Nick Riley as the company's regional manager for Asia Pacific, based in Sydney. Mr. Riley will be responsible for managing channel distributor and reseller relationships, as well as the company's key partnership with IBM as PGP(R) solutions are incorporated into IBM's security portfolio.
Mr. Riley was formerly the regional manager of global accounts for IT and networking infrastructure provider, NTT Communications Australia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NTT Group (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation), one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.
Riley's appointment, together with senior sales engineer, Ben Fitzpatrick, signifies the company's solid positioning in the Asia Pacific region. PGP Corporation is looking to take advantage of the growing concern and need for data protection in the Asia Pacific region, as data security and encryption increasingly become a priority for all corporate and government enterprises.
"Riley's expertise in Asia Pacific will be a key asset in delivering value to our customers and partners in the region, particularly given the current climate of greater security through increased corporate governance and privacy legislation," said Lee Finck, vice president, worldwide channels at PGP Corporation. "Key market growth segments for PGP Corporation in Australia will focus on government, health care and financial services."
"We are in a great position in Asia Pacific as the region hasn't embraced government privacy legislation to the same extent as the US and the UK," said Nick Riley, regional manager of Asia Pacific, PGP Corporation. "Enterprises have been fairly reactive to date with their security, but this will change when security becomes mandated at a government level. Data encryption is very much an untapped market in this region and presents a tremendous opportunity for PGP Corporation."
