Philip Treuil Celebrates 11 Years with American Veterinary Medical Association
Philip Treuil is happy to announce 11 years as a veterinarian and member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
NEW YORK, June 18, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Philip Treuil has been a practicing veterinarian since he earned his doctorate from the Louisiana State University in 2002. Philip Treuil proudly announces that 2013 will mark his eleventh year as a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, as well as his eleventh year as an accomplished and respected veterinarian. Philip Treuil has been a strong supporter of the American Veterinary Medical Association, assisting the group in furthering its goals and efforts throughout the years. For over a decade, Philip Treuil has specialized in the field of veterinary radiology, working toward the cure and treatment of cancer in pets and other animals.
Philip Treuil became a veterinarian after graduating from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. This program provided Philip Treuil with a solid foundation in veterinary medicine but it was only the beginning. Immediately after receiving his diploma, Philip Treuil began honing his skills by taking an internship with the Sacramento Animal Medical Group. Improving his skills and broadening his background truly allowed Philip Treuil to experience success in the field of veterinarian medicine. Eventually, Philip Treuil understood that despite his level of knowledge and expertise, there was still more left to learn. He made the decision to return to school once more, enrolling at Colorado State University in order to get a Master's degree in Radiology Biology. While there, Philip Treuil also completed a residency in Radiation Oncology. Immediately upon becoming a vet, Philip Treuil joined the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The American Veterinary Medical Association has had a long and impressive history since it was founded in 1863. Having remained in continuous operation since that time, the non-profit organization has grown its membership to over 82,500 veterinarians in the United States. Of the many functions of the AVMA, one of the most important is its service as the accrediting agency of the 28 schools of veterinary medicine throughout the country. All veterinary medical students, including Philip Treuil, become familiar with the American Veterinary Medical Association during their time in veterinary school.
Thus, 2013 not only marks Philip Treuil's 11 year anniversary as a veterinarian doctor and as a member of the AVMA, it also marks the 150th anniversary of the AVMA itself. This milestone couldn't have been achieved without the efforts of the AVMA's dedicated staff or the committed members, like Philip Treuil, that make up the association. In July, there will be a large convention in Chicago. Held annually, the convention features presentations, displays, and speeches by prominent individuals in the veterinary field, including Philip Treuil. The AVMA is hosting a special one-day symposium at the 150th anniversary convention for featured speakers as an added benefit for AVMA members.
About: Philip Treuil has been published in a variety of medical journals during his time studying radiology, radiation biology, and other subjects related to cancer in in the veterinary sciences.
