PHOENIX, Ariz, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Phoenix chapter of the Public
Relations Society (PRSA) of America puts branding in its spotlight during its
second professional development seminar on Thursday, Oct. 2.
PR Newswire has stepped up to sponsor the series, making it an affordable
opportunity for local PR practitioners to attend half-day sessions taught by
 senior accredited chapter members.
This session consists of classroom instruction, group discussions and a
key-note presentation from Mark Stanton, senior vice president at Martz Public
Relations, a local, full-service public relations, advertising, marketing and
branding firm with a commitment to providing uncompromising customer service
and memorable creative solutions. Some of the firm's clients include Cricket
Communications, British Airways, The Dial Corporation and Tiffany and Co.
All participants will receive a packet of useful information and the
individuals who complete the entire series will earn a certificate of
completion. The local chapter of PRSA designed this seminar series to assist
candidates in their preparation to take the accreditation exam, or to increase
the participants' knowledge of the profession.
"Brands are created and driven through public relations strategies and
tactics," said Paula Pedene, APR, President of the Phoenix Chapter of PRSA.
"The best brands are those that are closely managed and designed to drive a
behavioral change. Nothing does that better than PR and we'll address this
 head on during the seminar."
The chapter has very limited seating capacity for the remaining seminar
sessions, and the professional development committee recommends signing up as
soon as possible. To register for the event, go to the Phoenix Chapter of
PRSA website at and click on the header "Events and
Programs." The webpage offers a link where participants can pay for the
course with their credit card through an online pre-payment service. The
chapter offers each session for $25 to members and $30 to non members.
