 Pioneer-Standard Electronics, Inc.'s (Nasdaq:   PIOS) Computer Systems Division
 (CSD), a leading distributor and reseller of mid-range solutions, today
 announced an expansion of their relationship with IBM to develop and deliver
 Linux-based enablement programs and application solutions for the mid-range
 market.  This alliance demonstrates Pioneer-Standard's commitment to
 consistently provide strategic initiatives that drive new revenue
 opportunities.  As part of this relationship, Pioneer and IBM will offer a
 variety of Linux sales and marketing programs including Linux certifications
 and proven Linux business solutions.

     Pioneer-Standard will provide customers with access to its Systems
 Integration Value Add Center (SIVAC) and Systems Distribution Center (SDC) and
 to Linux-based marketing programs, sales personnel, product specialists and
 technical support services.  The company will also partner with independent
 software vendors (ISV) who have IBM-proven server applications that support
 additional solutions for the Linux platform.
