PlasmaTVBuyingGuide Announces Panasonic TV 2013 Lineup with Initial Reviews, Specs, and Model Comparisons
Reviewers Robert Wiley and Jack Burden cover the complete list of Panasonic TV new releases for the 2013 year
ATLANTA, March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Plasma TVs may be experiencing a trimming of their lineups, but Panasonic still delivers the goods in 2013. They are producing one of the larger lineups of plasma TVs this year and offer everything from reference quality all the way down to budget plasmas. Robert Wiley and Jack Burden have taken a good look at the lineup and compiled initial reviews, spec sheets, and model comparisons for all the plasma TVs that will be offered in 2013 and early 2014. They created a Panasonic Plasma TV 2013 page to keep all of the information in one place.
First up is the top of the line Panasonic TC-P65ZT60 reference quality plasma TV. Robert Wiley did the write up on this one. He said, "Despite the fact that Panasonic has entered the LED backlit LCD market in a big way their best selling TVs continue to be their plasma offerings," in his first look at the TV. "This plasma offers what Panasonic calls 'Beyond the Reference' level of picture quality. It has the Studio Master Panel to produce 'Ultimate' black color, contrast and crisp image edges. The new Studio Master Panel has been developed by a craftsmanship application technique when applying the outer front glass directly to the plasma panel, thus eliminating any gaps which cause picture interference," he said when addressing the picture quality.
The TC-P55VT60 is the next step down in the plasma lineup for 2013. Wiley covered this one too and was impressed with the picture. "One of the greatest characteristics of the picture performance of the VT60 series TV once calibrated is the exceptional deep rich black levels produced by the Infinite Black Ultra Panel." He also said, "The VT60 has one of the nicest presentations of 3D material on the market for 2013."
The popular ST series from last year makes a return with the ST60 series. Wiley also did the write up for the Panasonic TC-P55ST60. He names it as one of the best values in the plasma TV market for the year. It may be two steps down from the best, but picture quality still remains strong. "The ST60 uses the Infinite Black Pro panel which came from the GT50 and ST50 series from last year. The 'ultra' filter won't be found here, but the set still provides an impressive overall picture quality. Black levels are the main beneficiary due to the panel, which increases the blacks by a hefty amount."
On the LED TV side of things, Panasonic has a long list of TVs to be released this year. Reviewers noted 7 different models on their Panasonic LED TV 2013 page. The page includes first impressions, specs, and versus pages as well. One example is the TC-L55WT60. The IPS LED panel is a lauded feature in this model. Reviewers said, "The IPS LED panel allows for excellent viewing angles, even for an LED TV. There is very little picture degradation as the viewer moves through all the viewing angles."
