NEW YORK, Oct. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Poland Spring® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water is back to make a splash throughout the boroughs of New York City as a proud sponsor of the celebrated 2013 ING New York City Marathon, the New York Road Runners' premier event. The brand is geared up for a spirited weekend in Manhattan as the official hydration partner to support this year's participants as they cross the finish line.
To kick off Marathon weekend, Poland Spring will be sponsoring the Marathon Fireworks on Friday evening, November 1 in Central Park. The brand will also be at the ING New York City Marathon Health and Fitness Expo from October 31 - November 2 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Everyone is welcome to visit the Poland Spring booth to pick up some running swag and have an inspirational photo taken, which they can instantly upload and share on their social channels. Visitors will also have the opportunity to share their stories of inspiration on running bibs, which will be displayed at the Expo.
Poland Spring 100% Natural Spring Water will be supplied to runners at both the start and finish lines, and along the course at official hydration stations, including the Poland Spring Hydration Zone at Mile 17. Poland Spring will take over Mile 17 where volunteers will provide cups of Poland Spring while a live DJ will entertain and encourage runners to keep up the momentum as they head down First Avenue. Poland Spring will be providing more than 162,000 bottles of water at the start and finish lines, and more than 62,000 gallons of water along the course to participants on race day.
