A deceptively named bill introduced Feb. 4 in the House, dubbed the Federal Employee Rights Act, would actually strip federal employees of their basic workplace rights and disempower the people who administer vital federal programs and services, says American Federation of Government Employees National President J. David Cox Sr. Rep. Tom Price of Georgia introduced the bill, which would substantially eliminate the federal worker voice and make it much harder for federal employees to join a union.
