Poop Bag Club's Subscription Poop Bag Delivery Service Saves Time, Money and the Planet
Convenient and affordable automatic delivery of eco-friendly poop bags makes things easier on both dog owners and the environment
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Picking up after one's dog has always been an inconvenience of dog ownership, but Poop Bag Club is making life a little easier for dog owners with their subscription poop bag delivery service. Members enjoy automatic shipments of eco-friendly dog poop bags for one low monthly price, saving them time and money while reducing the impact of plastic bags on the environment.
"We tell people it's like Netflix for poop bags," explained co-owner Matthew Goodman. "Once you sign up, you never have to worry about buying poop bags again."
Becoming a member is quick and easy. Dog owners choose from two different types of environmentally-friendly poop bags and then select one of three plans based on the number of dog walks they take each day. Shipping is free and a complimentary bag dispenser is included with the first shipment. Plans range from $10 to $15 per month, there are no long-term contracts and members can change their plan at any time.
"Shoppers have become more comfortable with auto-ship programs over the years, especially for products they use on an ongoing basis like poop bags," said co-owner Danielle Mead. "But dog owners have been especially drawn to the service because of our eco-friendly bags and the knowledge that they are helping reduce the number of plastic bags in landfills."
Unlike traditional single-use plastic bags which aren't biodegradable, Poop Bag Club's eco-friendly poop bags break down in about 24 months. For a few dollars more each month, members can upgrade to corn-based compostable bags, which break down in approximately 40 days. The compostable bags are also one of the few poop bags on the market which meet California's strict SB 1749 law regulating the use of biodegradability claims on product labels.
The company recently introduced gift memberships, which are similar to regular memberships except they are prepaid instead of billed monthly. The sender may choose a 6-month or 12-month membership and include a gift note with the first shipment. Recipients have the option of renewing their subscription once the gift membership has ended.
"Dog owners have enough to remember – vaccinations, monthly flea and heartworm pills, grooming appointments," said Mead. "Our goal is to make dog ownership a little easier by giving them one less thing to think about."
