Pot Jobs Go Mile High!
CannaSearch, The Nation's First and now Largest Cannabis Career and Education Fair, will be September 16, 2014 at Mile High Station in Denver
DENVER, Aug. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- CannaSearch, LLC, in cooperation with Point Seven and CannaBrand (TM) will host CannaSearch, a cannabis career and educational fair, at Mile High Station, 2027 Old West Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204.
CannaSearch, LLC designed the event to help match career seekers with cannabis employers from all over the United States. Todd Mitchem, co-organizer of the event, stated, "Currently, we are observing numerous states preparing for cannabis business and are seeing companies become increasingly more sophisticated around the hiring process. This includes a desire to hire more employees for traditional career roles such as, management, retail, sales, marketing, accounting, IT, quality control, administration and horticulture. The added educational component to this job fair was designed to guide job seekers who lack understanding of what it takes to work in this budding industry. Participants will be able to sit in on one-hour presentations, which will cover a wide range of topics spanning from bud tending to executive leadership advice.
CannaSearch, LLC is currently securing 50 of the country's top cannabis brands as well as a collection of major sponsors who will participate in this massive educational event and career fair, a project that is certain to gain global attention.
Ashley Picillo, founder of Point Seven, is also excited to be a part of this historic event. "Social events will continue to play a critical role in advancing the cannabis industry, but I believe it is events like CannaSearch that will truly position cannabis as a mainstream consumer product." Picillo goes on to comment about her involvement as the event producer: "CannaSearch will be designed to highlight leading, progressive companies in the cannabis space, as well as in complimentary industries, showcasing the positive impact this industry can have on Colorado and the greater economy. I am thrilled to be a part of this project and hope to design a career fair that will set the bar high for both job seekers and companies alike."
Jennifer DeFalco and Olivia Mannix, founding members of Cannabrand are excited to be the marketing sponsor for CannaSearch. "Cannabrand's mission has been to 'rebrand' the cannabis industry and remove negative stigmas and stereotypes associated with cannabis consumers," says DeFalco. "As a women-owned marijuana marketing agency, we are also excited to invite women especially, to find careers in this new industry, which has traditionally been male-dominated," added Mannix.
With so much attention on this historic event, organizers are expecting a "high" turnout--but cannabis consumption will not be tolerated. Confirmed companies will be able to have a booth ranging from $600 to $1000, and human resources professionals will be interviewing candidates at the fair. CannaSearch is encouraging companies to sponsor portions of the event including the educational seminars, the executive breakfast, and the post-fair CannaSearch networking event scheduled for 6:00pm that evening.
Job seekers may pre-register for free on EventBrite, and tickets are on sale now for the Executive Breakfast and CannaSearch Networking Event. Promo Code "EARLYBIRD" will offer a discount on both paid tickets.
