Practice Fusion and leading user experience firm Cooper teamed up to develop a unique, innovative solution that allows medical professionals to access medical records on the go. Practice Fusion for the iPad took the top spot over a list of prominent competitors including My Ford Mobile by IDEO, Nike+ FuelBand by R/GA, and Freshbooks for iPhone by Freshbooks.
"We aimed to design something not just attractive and elegant but truly tailored to the natural workflow of doctors and their medical office," said Nick Myers , Managing Director, Design at Cooper. "The honor of winning IxDA's recognition is matched only by the satisfaction of knowing that we're improving the quality of care for patients—and making a real impact in the world of healthcare."
Practice Fusion is the nation's largest doctor-patient community, with more than 56 million patients seen on its platform. The invite-only beta version of Practice Fusion for the iPad launched in November 2012 and is currently in testing with thousands of Practice Fusion users.
"We're thrilled to see our hard work with Cooper recognized by the IxDA. We've heard a great deal of excitement and anticipation from our customers regarding this tablet experience," said Scout Addis, Director of User Experience at Practice Fusion. "Assisting doctors with the delivery of care in such an intuitive, easy to use design is core to our mission and vision."
