President of Council for Disability Awareness Announces Retirement
Robert Taylor Credited with Disability Awareness Leadership, Innovation
Taylor, a 35-year veteran of the disability insurance industry, became the organization's first president when the CDA was established in 2005. Most recently, Taylor helped CDA launch an innovative new online tool, www.WhatsMyPDQ.org, which calculates an individual's own unique Personal Disability Quotient, or chances of becoming disabled.
According to
"It's been an exciting opportunity to help build this important public awareness initiative," said Taylor. "The CDA has come a long way in a relatively short period of time. With so many things happening at the CDA, now is a good time to hand over the reins to someone else and watch the organization continue to evolve."
The CDA will immediately begin searching for a new President, according to Foley.
In addition to the new PDQ tool, the CDA provides the public with a wide array of disability awareness resources through its main Web site, www.disabilitycanhappen.org.
