Under the same contract, NSRDEC acquired government purpose rights (GPR) for Ground Guidance. As a result, any United States government agency or contractor may freely use Ground Guidance in government applications.
"Ground Guidance has the potential to accelerate mission planning, enabling soldiers to rapidly consider many courses of action before or during operations," said Robert Auer, senior operations research analyst, modeling and analysis team, NSRDEC. "We are eager to transition this capability and work with soldiers to improve it over time."
NSRDEC will orchestrate the integration effort, coordinating with Product Manager (PM) Special Operations Mission Planning Office (SOMPO) for FalconView, PM Ground Soldier for Nett Warrior, and PM Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) for TIGR and JBC-P. The contract has an 18 month period of performance.
