Produce Safety Researchers Awarded by ABC Research Laboratories
Three Scientists Receive Travel Grants for Center for Produce Safety Event
GAINESVILLE, Fla., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- ABC Research Laboratories has awarded travel grants to three up-and-coming scientists to attend the Center for Produce Safety Produce Research Symposium. Kanika Bhargava, Wayne State University, David Ingram, USDA Agricultural Research Service and Hamed Zahedi, University of Guelph, have received news of their award. "I am so glad to be at the CPS symposium: a great event to meet professionals from both the academic and industry sectors to share knowledge and experience," stated Hamed Zahedi. Each recipient will receive $500 toward their travel and registration expenses.
This grant was made available to all researchers working to improve produce safety. Applications were evaluated on the relevance of the applicant's research to practical concerns in produce safety, their ability to effectively communicate research findings and their ability to conduct relevant and robust research.
