Prolifiq Expands Executive Management Team
Mobile technology executive Jeff Pearson joins as COO; Neil Marshall assumes CMO role
BEAVERTON, Ore., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Prolifiq announced key management additions and changes that are part of the company's growth plans. Following announcements last month on the expansion into Life Sciences and the selection by Forbes magazine as one of America's Most Promising Companies, the company announced the appointment of Jeff Pearson as COO. Neil Marshall, who has been with Prolifiq since 2000 as a key member of the executive team, will assume the newly created role of Chief Marketing Officer.
Pearson joins Prolifiq following a 20-year career in the telecommunications industry. During this time, Pearson held operations, sales and development positions where he has lead acquisition teams, expanded markets and grown organizations. Most recently, Pearson was with Clearwire, the leading provider of WiMax broadband services as Vice President responsible for customer operations and the information technology team. Prior to Clearwire, he was responsible for Terabeam operations; including new product development, engineering, manufacturing and quality control. Pearson also held the position of Vice President of Software Development at AT&T Wireless/McCaw Cellular. In addition, Pearson served as a consultant with Accenture where he specialized in telecommunications and financial services applications in the United States and Europe. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Marshall, a founding investor in Prolifiq, is also a former Accenture consultant. Pearson's arrival allows him to focus his energies on driving Prolifiq's strategic marketing initiatives and managing the expansion of Prolifiq's products and services. Prior to joining Prolifiq, Marshall managed the development and introduction of new products for GE, Intel and numerous others during a 10-year consulting career. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University and an MBA from the University of Portland.
"Focusing on scaling operations and enhancing marketing is the cornerstone of our growth plans," commented Jeff Gaus, CEO of Prolifiq. "Jeff's experience in growing customer on-boarding and support organizations and Neil's strategic product and positioning perspectives provide the right combination to drive our continued expansion. These moves recognize the imperatives of quality subscriber growth and enhancing our brand, products, and culture -- Jeff and Neil are the ideal leaders for these critical initiatives."
Prolifiq enables mobile sales representatives in all industries including technology, media and life sciences, to customize and disseminate approved sales materials to prospective customers. Prior to Prolifiq, companies would disseminate sales collateral in hard copy format, spending millions each year on printing, storage and postage. Now, sales organizations that use BlackBerry®, iPhone®, or Windows Mobile®, devices can access and send promotional collateral, brochures, videos, podcasts and links, all from their hand-helds. With Prolifiq, marketers maintain central control over their materials; can arm the sales force with current, high-impact content; and know what information resonates with customers.
