Promise for Herpes, Staph Sufferers Shown in Probiotic-Derived Immune Support Supplement

Pure Research Products eyeing clinical trials following successful studies on mice

LOS ANGELES, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Lubov Shynkarenko, vice president and lead researcher of Pure Research Products, LLC, recently presented findings that demonstrate the company's probiotic-derived supplement's potential to support the immune system while it staves off viruses and infections like herpes and staph.

Mice were infected with herpes simplex virus-1 and Staphylococcus aureus for the study, which was revealed by Dr. Shynkarenko at this spring's International Probiotics Association (IPA) World Congress. Del-Immune V demonstrated strong protective action, with a significant increase in survival rate among mice that were given the product. Pure Research Products hopes these promising results will pave the way for clinical trials that further substantiate the effectiveness of the supplement's immune support for sufferers of viruses and infections. Del-Immune V is derived from the probiotic lactobacillus rhamnosus (DV strain), which was authored in the Ukraine by Dr. Shynkarenko.

"With so many probiotic products coming onto the market, we're advocating the careful research and analysis that helps the medical community and the consumer understand probiotic strains and the best conditions for their use," said Dr. Shynkarenko, former dean of the Biotechnology Institute at Kiev's elite National Technical University. "Fifty years of international research have gone into Del-Immune V, and it is still bearing new fruit today."

The research was presented at the International Probiotics Association (IPA) 2nd World Congress in Los Angeles this year, which was presented by European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and attended by 220 delegates from the global probiotic industry. The meeting was CME approved for healthcare professionals, as the probiotic industry seeks to make more inroads into mainstream medicine.
