Mobile voice-to-text app lets users dictate and send SMS and updates to Facebook and Twitter

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovate 2009 -- Promptu Systems Corporation today demonstrated an Android version of its ShoutOUT voice-to-text mobile phone application powered by PayPal X, the world's first truly global payments platform.

ShoutOUT for Android, now scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2010, is Promptu's first mobile voice-to-text application to incorporate PayPal's new Adaptive Payments APIs for giving users secure, easy-to-use payment options while on the go.

Like Promptu's forthcoming ShoutOUT for iPhone, ShoutOUT for Android lets users dictate messages in fluent, natural speech, instead of typing on the phone's touch-screen keypad. Fully automated transcriptions of SMS messages or updates to Facebook and Twitter are returned in real-time and can then be reviewed, edited and appended before sending.

By using voice as the interface, ShoutOUT is the most intuitive and natural alternative to the awkward process of entering text on a mobile phone.
