PT Infinys System Indonesia Chooses Cloudian to Bring First Object Storage Solution To Indonesia Builds Innovative Cloud Services for Consumers & Small-to-Medium Enterprises
FOSTER CITY, Calif., June 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cloudian®, Inc. , the market-leading cloud storage software company, today announced that one of Indonesia's largest cloud service provider, PT Infinys System Indonesia, has chosen to deploy its Cloudian storage software solution to bring the first cloud storage to Indonesia, specifically targeting the consumer & Small-to-Medium Enterprise (SME) market.
Infinys will use Cloudian to offer an object storage solution that can be used to store any data, such as images, files and video. The service will be part of the service offered by "CloudKilat", a new brand introduced by Infinys that is aimed at addressing the needs of its consumer and SME customers. Since the Cloudian storage solution is installed and operated with minimum involvement by IT personnel, it dramatically reduces the costs of cloud deployment and management—and, as a result, is helping make "Storage-As-A-Utility" a reality.
"CloudKilat will be the most revolutionary cloud service in Indonesia and our customers expect us to bring them powerful new solutions," said Dondy Bappedyanto, General Manager at PT Infinys System Indonesia. "We evaluated various cloud storage products and selected Cloudian because it had turnkey software with the most comprehensive feature set for building a cloud storage offering. In particular, we like the S3 compatibility, ease-of-use, comprehensive management features, and flexible billing and provisioning. We look forward to letting our customers take full advantage of the power of cloud storage."
Cloudian delivers a fully S3 API compliant, multi-tenant, multi-data center cloud storage platform that enables customers to cost-effectively deploy an extremely scalable and reliable object storage service within public and private clouds. The platform leverages a fully distributed, peer-to-peer architecture, with no single point of failure. Cloudian also provides a comprehensive user interface for both end user applications as well as administrative functions, including billing, monitoring and provisioning. The solution easily scales from one node up to thousands of nodes across multiple data centers, supporting petabytes of data, enabling service providers and Enterprise IT to leverage heterogeneous, commodity servers for cost-effective horizontal scalability.
"We are pleased to bring the Cloudian solution to Southeast Asia with an innovative cloud services provider such as PT Infinys System," said Jay Desai, Cloudian's Vice President of Product Management. "Together, we will enable enterprise customers to build Amazon S3-compatible clouds, whether public, private or hybrid, that leverage the scalability, reliability and power of cloud storage."
