BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Rally® ranks No. 8 on the Great Place to Work® "Best Medium-Size Workplaces" list published by FORTUNE magazine. The "Best Workplaces" lists feature the top corporate cultures in the United States, as evaluated by employees. This is the fifth honor for Rally in 2012 as a top-ranked workplace.
FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work, who conducts one of the most extensive employee surveys in corporate America. Two-thirds of the score is based on the Great Place to Work Trust Index© Survey, which contains questions related to employees' attitudes about management credibility, job satisfaction and camaraderie. The other third is based on the Great Place to Work Culture Audit©, which includes questions about pay and benefit programs, hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.
"It's one of my top priorities to create a place where people enjoy coming to work every day, so it means a lot that our employees overwhelmingly feel respected and supported," said Tim Miller, Rally CEO.
"The Best Small & Medium Workplace list grows more competitive every year and this list represents the best of the best," said Susan Lucas-Conwell, Global Chief Executive Officer of Great Place to Work®. "While each company is unique, what they have in common are strong cultures that support positive workplaces."
Among Rally's core values are maintaining a healthy work-life balance, cultivating trust and respect with one another, and giving back to the community. As part of its philanthropic culture, the company recently launched a foundation called Rally For Impact that empowers engineers to solve some of the world's most intractable problems. Rally's 1% philanthropy model also encourages Rally employees to pledge 1% of their paid time per year to volunteer for the non-profit of their choice.
In August, Outside Magazine honored Rally as one of the 'Best Places to Work,' and ColoradoBiz Magazine named Rally as a 'Best Company to Work For' in Colorado in the medium-sized category. In April, The Denver Post's 'Top Workplaces 2012' named Rally in the mid-size employer category. In March, Rally was recognized in the first 'Best for the World' list of companies with the most positive overall social and environmental impact.
