Ram 1500 already one of 2014's most popular vehicles Denver-area dealership attempts to set expectations for EcoDiesel availability
CASTLE ROCK, Colo., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The 2014 Ram 1500 first impressed Denver-area drivers by becoming the automotive industry's first back-to-back Motor Trend Truck of the Year award winner. The truck continued to gain the favor of local motorists when the EPA released the fuel economy ratings for the brand new EcoDiesel version of the pickup. After the initial batch of EcoDiesel 1500 trucks were made available for order, the vehicle once more enthused fans of the Ram brand by selling out in only three days.
In 2013, Ram 1500 had already set a high bar for fuel economy with a best-in-class 25 highway mpg rating. Ram's introduction of diesel into the light-duty truck category in 2014, however, set a completely new expectation for fuel efficiency.
The EPA recently released the official fuel economy estimates for the new diesel 1500. The EPA projects that 2014 EcoDiesel Ram truck will deliver 28 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg when combined with trips through the city.
The first news of the 2014 Ram 1500's fuel economy figures created a groundswell of response from pickup drivers across the country. In the first three days after ordering opened for the new truck, each of the initial 8,000 units manufactured by Ram were quickly accounted for.
Due to the high demand of the Ram EcoDiesel 1500, setting expectations for the truck's arrival in the Denver area is difficult. Medved is encouraging drivers to contact the dealership for the most up-to-date information on the availability of the 2014 EcoDiesel Ram 1500.
